We are looking for a HRIS Analyst to support HR systems, employee records, and benefits-related operations for a manufacturing organization in St. Paul, Minnesota. This role plays a key part in keeping employee information accurate, improving HR processes, and supporting reporting, compliance, and day-to-day system administration. The ideal candidate brings experience with HRIS platforms, benefits coordination, and data integrity, along with the ability to collaborate across HR, payroll, IT, and business teams.
Responsibilities:
- Manage HRIS administration activities, including system configuration, employee record upkeep, workflow support, and ongoing data maintenance across related HR applications.
- Enter, review, and update employee information for hires, status changes, compensation updates, leaves, terminations, and rehires while ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- Act as a functional resource for HR systems by answering user questions, supporting modules such as onboarding, recruiting, time tracking, performance, learning, compensation, and reporting.
- Partner with HR, payroll, benefits, and IT teams to investigate system issues, resolve data discrepancies, and improve process reliability across multiple business entities.
- Perform testing for system enhancements, updates, releases, and workflow changes to confirm functionality and minimize operational disruption.
- Help streamline HR operations by identifying automation opportunities, reducing repetitive manual tasks, and improving manager and employee self-service tools.
- Create, maintain, and distribute recurring and ad hoc reports that support HR, benefits, payroll, finance, and leadership decision-making needs.
- Maintain documentation such as procedures, process guides, and support records while protecting the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive employee information.
- Support compliance-related reporting, access controls, and role-based permissions in alignment with company policy and applicable federal and state requirements.
- Experience administering employee benefits programs, including benefits coordination, COBRA processes, and leave of absence support.
- Hands-on background working with HRIS platforms such as Paylocity, including system maintenance, reporting, and payroll-related processes.
- Knowledge of compensation and benefits administration with strong attention to accuracy in employee data management.
- Ability to generate, validate, and analyze HR reports to support business operations, compliance, and decision-making.
- Familiarity with HRIS implementations, workflow improvements, and cross-functional process support.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to research discrepancies, troubleshoot issues, and recommend practical solutions.
- Ability to handle confidential employee information with discretion and maintain high standards of data security and documentation.
