Original job description
Robert Half HR Solutions is looking for an accomplished Human Resources Project Manager to lead complex people operations initiatives for a software organization. This long-term contract opportunity is suited for a senior-level candidate with broad experience overseeing global HR service delivery, payroll operations, and employee support across multiple regions. The ideal candidate brings strong operational leadership, sound decision-making, and the ability to guide cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced environment while improving HR processes and service quality. The first priority will require strong benefits knowledge and expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Direct global people operations programs spanning the full employee lifecycle, including hiring support, onboarding coordination, employee service delivery, and separation processes.
- Oversee multi-country payroll activities by strengthening compliance practices, maintaining operational controls, and managing external payroll partners effectively.
- Lead the enhancement and administration of enterprise HR platforms to improve data accuracy, workflow efficiency, and user experience.
- Manage geographically dispersed teams responsible for shared services and case management, ensuring timely issue resolution and consistent service standards.
- Drive process improvement efforts that simplify HR operations, increase scalability, and support broader organizational objectives.
- Partner with senior leaders and key stakeholders to align HR operational priorities with business needs and evolving workforce requirements.
- Provide governance and oversight for global benefits-related operations, helping ensure programs are administered accurately and in accordance with applicable policies.
- Act independently in a complex environment, evaluating risks, resolving operational challenges, and recommending practical solutions that support business continuity.
- Extensive leadership experience in people operations, HR shared services, or a comparable human resources management function.
- Strong knowledge of global payroll administration, including regulatory compliance, internal controls, vendor oversight, and international operations.
- Demonstrated success working with enterprise HR systems, including implementation, optimization, or large-scale process enhancement initiatives.
- Proven ability to lead distributed teams and improve service delivery within ticketing-based or shared services environments.
- Solid understanding of HR compliance, employee policy administration, and operational governance across multiple regions.
- Experience supporting compensation and benefits programs, with working knowledge of global benefits administration.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and organizational leadership skills, with the ability to operate effectively with limited direction.
