A leading early-stage venture capital firm is seeking a Fund Accountant to join its finance and operations team. Reporting to the Controller, this role will support accounting, reporting, and fund operations across multiple venture funds and related entities. This is a chance to gain broad exposure to fund accounting, investor reporting, audits, tax, and fund operations. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build on their accounting experience and deepen their exposure to the venture capital space while working on a small, collaborative team.

What You’ll Do

• Support accounting and reporting for multiple venture funds
• Assist with capital calls, distributions, management fees, and fund expenses
• Prepare reconciliations, schedules, and supporting workpapers
• Track investment activity, commitments, and capital balances
• Assist with investor reporting, audits, tax processes, and K-1s
• Support management company and GP accounting, including month-end close
• Partner with external fund administrators, auditors, and tax providers
• Contribute to process improvements and special projects as the firm grows
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2–3 years of accounting experience; fund accounting, VC, PE, or alternative investment experience preferred
• Understanding of fund structures, partnership accounting, capital calls, and distributions
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Interest in technology, AI, and automation is a plus
