This Long-term Contract opportunity is suited for a hands-on, detail-oriented finance leader who can strengthen planning, reporting, and performance analysis while partnering closely with business and finance leaders. The assignment will focus on delivering timely insights, supporting close and forecasting activities, and helping stakeholders make informed operating decisions in a fast-moving environment.
Responsibilities:
- Direct month-end finance activities by validating income statement results, investigating variances, and confirming the integrity of reported performance.
- Develop recurring reporting packages that translate financial and operational results into clear updates for leadership and cross-functional partners.
- Drive budgeting, quarterly outlooks, and longer-range financial planning by consolidating inputs, challenging assumptions, and refining projections.
- Oversee expense planning and monthly reviews for assigned operating areas, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities against plan.
- Prepare supporting journal entries and contribute analysis for capital and operating spend to improve visibility into resource allocation.
- Collaborate with regional, business unit, functional, and corporate finance teams to resolve reporting questions and align data used for decision-making.
- Monitor core business indicators such as order activity, backlog, revenue movement, and performance versus forecast to highlight emerging issues and opportunities.
- Coordinate key finance deadlines, leadership review materials, and ad hoc analyses while recommending process improvements that enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, or financial analysis roles.
- Demonstrated success supporting close cycles, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting for complex business operations.
- Strong command of financial statements, variance evaluation, and performance metric analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to build models, analyze large data sets, and present actionable conclusions.
- Strong PowerPoint capabilities for creating effective presentations for senior leadership audiences.
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and collaborate effectively with finance and operational stakeholders.
- Experience in a public company setting and exposure to medical device, healthcare, life sciences, or manufacturing environments is preferred.
