The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, operational insight, and the ability to turn financial data into practical recommendations.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct core accounting activities across the organization, including ledger management, payables, receivables, payroll accounting, fixed assets, inventory, and cash oversight.
  • Manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close cycle to ensure complete, timely, and reliable financial results.
  • Produce and review financial statements, internal reporting packages, and analysis that help leadership assess performance and plan effectively.
  • Maintain accounting policies, account structures, and control procedures while ensuring alignment with applicable standards, tax obligations, and company guidelines.
  • Lead external financial requirements such as annual audits, tax reporting coordination, and related compliance deliverables.
  • Strengthen internal controls by monitoring reconciliations, reviewing unusual activity, and safeguarding cash, inventory, fixed assets, and sensitive financial information.
  • Oversee manufacturing finance activities, including product costing, standard cost analysis, inventory valuation, and review of labor, material, overhead, and variance trends.
  • Partner with operations leaders to evaluate production performance, inventory levels, scrap, overtime, capital spending, pricing decisions, and profitability drivers.
  • Coordinate budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning with department heads and executive leadership, highlighting key risks and performance gaps.
  • Support financial systems, banking, insurance, and broader risk management efforts, including improvements to processes and controls when needed.
  • Demonstrated experience in accounting leadership or controllership within a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting, manufacturing finance, and inventory control practices.
  • Proven ability to manage month-end close and deliver accurate financial reporting on schedule.
  • Solid understanding of internal controls, compliance requirements, and external audit coordination.
  • Experience building budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support operational and strategic decisions.
  • Ability to analyze variances, working capital trends, and profitability metrics and communicate findings clearly to leadership.
  • Proficiency in collaborating across finance and operations to improve performance and decision-making.
