Original job description

We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join our client's team. This is a mostly remote role with 2 weeks of onsite training and quarterly meetings in New Orleans, Louisiana. In this role, you will help evaluate financial and operational performance by gathering data, conducting research, and supporting the development of analytical reports for healthcare-related engagements. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to client-facing projects while collaborating with experienced professionals and managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Enter, organize, and validate financial and productivity information used for modeling, benchmarking, and performance analysis.
  • Gather and synthesize both numerical and narrative healthcare financial and operational data to support consulting engagements.
  • Perform targeted market research on physician specialties, medical services, procedures, and reimbursement trends to inform analysis.
  • Partner with valuation professionals to prepare financial analyses and contribute written content for valuation and consulting reports.
  • Manage several assignments at once by balancing deadlines and adjusting to priorities established by senior team members.
  • Assist with special projects and ad hoc analyses as business and client needs arise.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and update records within the project management system.
  • Support strong client service by delivering dependable, timely work and communicating professionally throughout each engagement.
  • Work independently with a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality, and accountability while contributing to continuous quality improvement.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a closely related field.
  • 2–3 years of relevant experience, ideally within healthcare, accounting, consulting, or legal environments.
  • Demonstrated capability in financial analysis, valuation analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain attention to detail, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively while handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
