Original job description

We are looking for an ERP/CRM Consultant to support a manufacturing organization in Newark, New Jersey through a Long-term Contract assignment. This position is best suited for a hands-on, detail-oriented systems specialist who can resolve application issues, strengthen day-to-day platform performance, and guide users through effective system use. The role focuses on technical support, configuration, and user enablement rather than people management, making it ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems and working closely with business teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for ERP and CRM applications, diagnosing issues and restoring system functionality in a timely manner.
  • Deliver user training and ongoing guidance to improve adoption, system accuracy, and day-to-day operational efficiency.
  • Configure application settings and maintain platform functionality to align with business needs across manufacturing operations.
  • Translate business needs into clear documentation and functional recommendations for system improvements and support activities.
  • Assist with troubleshooting integrations, scripts, and APIs to maintain reliable data flow between connected business systems.
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify process gaps, recommend practical solutions, and support application enhancements.
  • Contribute technical expertise to system-related initiatives, including platform support activities connected to broader business changes when needed.
  • Work onsite five days per week in Newark, New Jersey while collaborating with users, technical teams, and business partners.
  • Strong experience supporting ERP and CRM platforms in a technical consulting or systems support capacity.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot application issues, perform configuration changes, and support end users effectively.
  • Experience creating or working from business requirement documentation to guide technical solutions.
  • Knowledge of client-side scripting, API development, and configuration management practices.
  • Background in Salesforce development or related CRM technical support is valuable.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and train users with varying levels of system experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing environments or supporting business systems within industrial operations is preferred.
