Original job description
We are seeking a hands-on Microsoft 365 Engineer with a strong focus on Power Platform and SharePoint Online administration, configuration, and production support. This role will support and maintain a large-scale Microsoft environment, with responsibilities spanning Power Platform, SharePoint, and the broader Microsoft 365 ecosystem. This is an engineer-level position with a strong operational and administrative focus. The ideal candidate will have experience managing platforms, supporting business users, troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining configurations, and ensuring the reliability of enterprise collaboration tools. While a solid understanding of Microsoft 365 is required, the primary focus will be on Power Platform and SharePoint administration rather than solution architecture or full-scale application development.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administration, configuration, and operational support for Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Platform environments.
- Administer and support SharePoint Online, including site administration, permissions, access management, configurations, and troubleshooting.
- Manage Power Platform environments, security roles, governance settings, connectors, and user access.
- Support Power Apps and Power Automate solutions, troubleshooting issues, managing connections, and assisting with operational maintenance.
- Monitor platform performance, investigate incidents, and resolve production support issues across Power Platform and SharePoint.
- Provide administration and support across Microsoft 365 services, including Teams, Exchange Online, Office applications, and Copilot.
- Manage incoming support requests, troubleshoot technical issues, and work through ticketing systems to ensure timely resolution.
- Navigate Microsoft 365 and Power Platform administrative portals to diagnose issues and make configuration changes.
- Utilize PowerShell scripting to support administrative tasks, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance.
- Assist with platform updates, ongoing maintenance, access reviews, and configuration management.
- Document administrative procedures, troubleshooting steps, and issue resolutions.
- Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and business teams to support platform stability and ongoing operational needs.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting and administering Microsoft 365 environments.
- Strong experience administering and supporting Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate.
- Practical SharePoint Online administration experience, including site management, permissions, security, and configuration.
- Experience managing Power Platform environments, user access, security settings, connectors, and governance.
- Ability to troubleshoot Power Apps and Power Automate issues and provide ongoing production support.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and associated administrative portals.
- Experience supporting enterprise production environments, handling support tickets, and performing break/fix troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for administrative tasks and automation.
- Ability to work with technical and non-technical users, prioritize support requests, and communicate technical issues effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Power Platform and SharePoint across multiple tenants or large enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE) tools and governance practices.
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, security groups, identity management, and access controls.
- Exposure to Power Platform licensing, environment strategies, and data loss prevention (DLP) policies.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online, Copilot, and other Microsoft 365 services.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Graph and PowerShell administration modules.
- Microsoft certifications related to Power Platform, SharePoint, or Microsoft 365 administration.
