eCommerce Specialist

We are looking for an experienced eCommerce Specialist to support and strengthen a Shopify Plus environment for a services organization in Owatonna, Minnesota. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who can combine strategic direction with hands-on execution to help the business expand its Shopify capabilities and improve overall digital commerce performance. The right candidate will bring strong leadership, practical platform knowledge, and the ability to keep initiatives organized from launch planning through ongoing optimization.

Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day Shopify Plus development and enhancement efforts, balancing strategic priorities with direct platform execution.
• Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on best practices for building, managing, and scaling a high-performing Shopify ecosystem.
• Coordinate launch readiness activities and support post-launch improvements to strengthen site functionality, user experience, and business results.
• Translate business goals into effective eCommerce solutions by configuring, customizing, and optimizing Shopify features and workflows.
• Manage project timelines, priorities, and cross-functional communication to ensure deliverables stay on track and aligned with expectations.
• Support the team as they continue building expertise in Shopify following the move from Magento, offering structure, recommendations, and practical direction.
• Identify opportunities to improve online merchandising, site performance, and operational efficiency across the digital storefront.
• Collaborate with technical and business partners to troubleshoot issues, implement updates, and maintain a reliable customer-facing commerce experience.
• Proven experience working extensively with Shopify, including hands-on knowledge of Shopify Plus environments.
• Strong background in eCommerce development with the ability to connect technical solutions to business objectives.
• Prior experience with Magento and an understanding of how to apply that knowledge within a Shopify-focused environment.
• Demonstrated project management capability, including organizing workstreams, tracking milestones, and coordinating stakeholders.
• Ability to lead with confidence while also contributing directly to configuration, optimization, and execution tasks.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain platform recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience supporting platform launches and driving continuous improvement after go-live.
