In this hybrid role, you will focus on building, optimizing, and customizing features across our digital store to improve site performance, streamline checkout, and elevate the overall online shopping experience. Working directly with our digital, marketing, and design teams, you will execute key platform enhancements, integrate third-party tools, and resolve technical backlogs during this high-impact 8-week sprint.

Key Responsibilities

  • Platform Optimization & Feature Development: Build, test, and deploy customized frontend and backend features across our eCommerce environment.
  • System Integrations: Integrate and troubleshoot third-party APIs, payment gateways, inventory management software, and marketing automation tools.
  • Performance & UX Tuning: Improve site load speed, mobile responsiveness, navigation, and overall user flow to boost conversion rates.
  • Code Maintenance & QA: Diagnose, debug, and resolve technical issues, ensuring clean code deployment, data security, and PCI compliance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate design concepts and commercial requirements into scalable technical builds.

Qualifications & Technical Requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years of hands-on eCommerce web development experience.
  • eCommerce Platforms: Proven proficiency with major platforms (e.g., Shopify/Shopify Plus, Magento/Adobe Commerce, WooCommerce, or Salesforce Commerce Cloud).
  • Frontend & Tech Stack: Strong mastery of JavaScript (including modern frameworks), HTML5, CSS3/SASS, RESTful APIs, and Liquid/PHP or native platform templating languages.
  • Integrations: Direct experience implementing third-party plugins, custom scripts, and payment processors (e.g., Stripe, PayPal).
  • Location & On-Site Availability: Must be based in or near the Greenville, SC area and available to work in a hybrid capacity (combining on-site team collaboration in Greenville with remote work).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of mobile-first UI/UX practices and web accessibility (WCAG) guidelines.
  • Experience with headless commerce architecture or custom API integrations.
  • Prior experience executing short-term project sprints or hyper-focused site revamps.
