Dispatcher

We are looking for a detail-oriented Dispatcher to support daily delivery operations in Mount Vernon, New York. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment and can balance route coordination, driver support, and service quality throughout the day. The role is primarily focused on managing dispatch activities from the desk while helping keep delivery workflows organized, efficient, and compliant.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate daily delivery activity for a large group of drivers by monitoring routes, adjusting schedules, and helping keep operations on track.
• Use company dispatch and tracking systems to build, review, and manage driver routes throughout each shift.
• Review proof-of-delivery records and identify missing, incorrect, or incomplete documentation for follow-up.
• Provide coverage across multiple dispatch stations to help maintain continuous support during active operating hours.
• Previous experience in dispatch, logistics coordination, or transportation operations.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with drivers and internal teams.
• Experience managing multiple priorities in a time-sensitive, fast-moving environment.
• Comfortable learning and using routing, tracking, and dispatch software tools.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when monitoring deliveries and reviewing documentation.
• Ability to identify problems quickly and take appropriate action to keep operations running smoothly.
• Willingness to work in a primarily desk-based role while occasionally assisting with floor operations as needed.
