Responsibilities:

- Direct daily security operations, ensuring effective monitoring, threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability reduction activities.
- Oversee security architecture across cloud, network, application, and enterprise environments to improve resilience and reduce exposure to risk.
- Manage and mentor internal security team members and external service providers, driving accountability, performance, and operational excellence.
- Partner with executive leadership to assess technical risks, translate security concerns into business impact, and support informed decision-making.
- Coordinate audit readiness efforts and guide remediation initiatives related to security controls, compliance findings, and regulatory expectations.
- Establish and refine processes for vulnerability management, security investigations, and continuous improvement of defensive capabilities.
- Support modernization efforts such as cloud adoption, platform transformation, or other major technology changes by embedding security requirements into execution plans.
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
- At least 10 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, information security, or technology risk management.
- Minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity overseeing cybersecurity programs, operational delivery, and teams or third-party providers.
- Demonstrated success leading enterprise security operations and broader cybersecurity initiatives within complex organizations.
- Strong expertise in enterprise security architecture, cloud security, network defense, SIEM, vulnerability management, and incident response.
- Working knowledge of recognized security and privacy frameworks, audit practices, and regulatory requirements relevant to controlled environments.
- Ability to prioritize multiple security initiatives in a large or geographically distributed organization while clearly communicating risk to senior leaders.
- Industry certifications and experience with Azure, Entra ID, security automation, AI-related security considerations, or public-company compliance environments are considered an advantage.
