Original job description

We are looking for an experienced procurement leader to guide indirect sourcing strategy across the Americas for a dynamic retail organization. This role will shape category plans, strengthen supplier partnerships, and work closely with business and finance stakeholders to deliver value, quality, and responsible purchasing outcomes. The position is well suited for someone who combines strategic insight with hands-on execution in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the regional indirect procurement agenda across categories such as store development, facilities, events, communications, client initiatives, visual merchandising, travel, and specialized services.
  • Build and implement sourcing strategies that align regional priorities with broader enterprise procurement objectives and measurable business goals.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional partners to improve purchasing practices, introduce effective tools and methods, and drive consistent performance standards.
  • Manage the full sourcing lifecycle, from defining business needs and evaluating suppliers to negotiating commercial terms, finalizing agreements, and supporting rollout.
  • Analyze spending patterns and operating expenses to uncover savings opportunities, improve cost efficiency, and strengthen total cost of ownership decisions.
  • Establish strong supplier governance by setting service expectations, tracking performance metrics, and addressing compliance and risk considerations.
  • Partner with Finance to support budgeting discipline, validate savings results, and provide reporting that reflects operational and financial impact.
  • Develop reporting frameworks and executive-level updates that combine qualitative insights with quantitative results for leadership review.
  • Coach and develop procurement talent while fostering a collaborative, high-accountability culture across the regional procurement team.
  • 8+ years of experience in indirect procurement, including strategic sourcing, tender processes, supplier negotiations, and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Proven background working within complex, international, and matrixed business environments.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement operations, contracting practices, and vendor management across multiple indirect spend categories.
  • Solid analytical and financial capabilities, including spend analysis, cost modeling, and sourcing decision support.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills with the ability to work effectively across functions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in fashion, luxury, retail, or other consumer-focused industries is an advantage; English fluency is required, and additional language skills are a plus.
