Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage security controls that protect enterprise networks, systems, cloud environments, and business-critical applications.
- Monitor security events, investigate suspicious activity, and coordinate timely response efforts to reduce operational risk.
- Review technical environments against security requirements and help maintain secure, reliable system operations over time.
- Identify weaknesses across infrastructure and applications, recommend corrective actions, and drive remediation of vulnerabilities or exposures.
- Evaluate external vendors for adherence to organizational security expectations and document risk findings when needed.
- Partner with infrastructure, application, and business teams to embed security practices into projects and operational processes.
- Track emerging cybersecurity threats, tools, and best practices, and propose meaningful improvements to the overall security program.
- Support compliance efforts by aligning security practices with applicable privacy, regulatory, and industry requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and practical recommendations to stakeholders on security standards, controls, and everyday best practices.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a background in securing enterprise systems and networks.
- Formal education or training in cybersecurity, computer science, information systems, or a related technical discipline.
- Working knowledge of firewall platforms, network architecture, intrusion detection technologies, cloud security concepts, and web application security.
- Experience with tools and practices related to configuration management, email security, and security monitoring.
- Familiarity with recognized security frameworks and standards used to assess and strengthen control environments.
- Ability to assess threats, analyze risk, and design effective security measures to address technical vulnerabilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Relevant industry certifications are valued, such as CISSP, CISM, or similar cybersecurity credentials.
