We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to support a contract project for a non-profit organization in New Orleans, Louisiana. In this role, you will visit residential units within a community property, document visible repair and housekeeping concerns, and record findings using a detailed checklist. This position is best suited for someone who is observant, detail-oriented, and comfortable interacting respectfully in both occupied and vacant homes.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct unit-by-unit visits at a designated property to identify visible maintenance, cleanliness, and safety concerns.
- Complete inspection checklists accurately and note conditions such as damaged fixtures, painting needs, lighting issues, and smoke detector concerns.
- Enter observations clearly and organize information so management can review repair priorities efficiently.
- Communicate respectfully with residents and onsite staff while working in occupied and unoccupied units.
- Follow project guidance, training materials, and walkthrough instructions to ensure consistent reporting across all units.
- Maintain a steady daily inspection pace while balancing accuracy, detail, and consistency.
- Support property management teams by documenting conditions without performing physical repair work.
- Adhere to site expectations related to appearance, parking, safety, and workplace conduct throughout the assignment.
- Previous experience in customer service, call center support, clerical work, order entry, property management support, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to recognize visible issues that require follow-up.
- Comfortable walking door to door and working throughout a residential property for extended periods.
- Ability to interact respectfully in environments that include occupied units where families are living.
- Basic written documentation and data entry skills for completing checklists and recording findings.
- Reliable attendance and the ability to work a consistent schedule during the project period.
- Detail-oriented demeanor with the judgment to follow safety guidelines and onsite instructions.
