Original job description
Robert Half Marketing and Creative has a client looking for a Creative and Marketing Team Project Manager to support a tourism organization in Denver, Colorado through a Long-term/Part-time Contract assignment. This position will guide a portfolio of brand and marketing initiatives from early intake and evaluation through execution and launch, bringing structure, visibility, and strong cross-functional coordination to complex work. The ideal candidate combines disciplined project leadership with excellent communication skills and can keep multiple stakeholders aligned while improving governance practices across the project portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Direct the governance lifecycle for refresh and build initiatives, overseeing intake, project setup, early assessment, development activities, and preparation of materials that inform investment decisions.
- Track major milestones across the portfolio and help teams stay on course from planning through rollout, ensuring readiness for pre-launch and launch activities.
- Create and uphold repeatable governance rhythms, approval points, and decision-making checkpoints that bring consistency across multiple projects.
- Facilitate recurring cross-functional meetings for brand build and refresh efforts, driving accountability, clarifying next steps, and maintaining momentum across workstreams.
- Serve as the primary coordinator among Brand, Revenue, Communications, Insights, Digital, Operations, and Finance teams to keep priorities, timelines, and deliverables aligned.
- Surface project risks, blockers, and interdependencies early, escalate concerns when needed, and work with stakeholders to develop practical resolutions.
- Maintain accurate project plans in Asana or similar platforms, including task assignments, dependencies, schedules, and key governance documentation.
- Produce concise portfolio reporting and status summaries for leadership reviews and capital planning conversations.
- Recommend and implement improvements to templates, processes, and project management standards to strengthen portfolio health as initiatives expand.
- 5–7+ years of project management experience, ideally supporting capital programs, hospitality, tourism, real estate development, or brand-focused initiatives.
- Demonstrated success managing several concurrent projects with overlapping timelines, competing priorities, and diverse stakeholder groups.
- Strong proficiency with Asana or comparable project management systems, with the ability to build organized workflows and maintain data accuracy.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to deliver clear updates and drive alignment.
- Ability to establish structure, enforce governance standards, and manage dependencies across complex, cross-functional programs.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with changing scope, ambiguity, and high-visibility deliverables.
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong process discipline, sound judgment, and a proactive, solution-focused approach.
- Experience with stage-gate governance, investment proposal development, brand experience programs, or hospitality-related project environments is a plus.
