Cost Accountant

We are looking for an Accountant to own cost accounting, inventory valuation, month-end close, and variance analysis while partnering closely with plant leadership. This role offers the opportunity to have a direct impact on plant performance, drive process improvements, and grow within a strong manufacturing organization.

Responsibilities:

• Manage standard costs, inventory valuation, and ERP accuracy
• Analyze manufacturing variances, scrap, and inventory reserves
• Lead month-end close, reconciliations, accruals, and plant P&L reporting
• Provide variance analysis and key financial/operational metrics
• Support budgeting, forecasting, pricing, capital projects, and production planning
• Track capital expenditures and maintain fixed asset records
• Ensure GAAP/internal control compliance and support audits
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or cost accounting environment.
• Strong understanding of standard costing, inventory valuation, and manufacturing variance analysis.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
