Cost Accountant

A well-established manufacturing organization is seeking a Cost Accountant to join its accounting and finance team. This position will play a key role in cost analysis, inventory management, month-end close activities, and supporting operational decision-making across the business.

Responsibilities

• Participate in monthly and year-end close processes.
• Maintain and analyze standard costing and investigate cost variances.
• Assist with inventory accounting, valuation, and cycle count activities.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost improvement initiatives.
• Analyze labor, overhead, production, and inventory-related costs.
• Review and maintain product costing data and bill of materials information.
• Partner with operations and leadership to provide financial analysis and reporting.
• Assist with process improvements and special projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or product-based environment.
• Experience with cost accounting, inventory accounting, or financial analysis.
• ERP system experience preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
• CPA or CPA-track is a plus.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Limited travel may be required.
