This newly created role offers the opportunity to shape financial processes, enhance reporting quality, and support leadership with clear insights that guide business decisions. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable balancing strategic priorities with daily execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct daily accounting activities across the general ledger, payables, receivables, cash administration, payroll coordination, and period-end close.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles to deliver complete and timely financial results.
  • Produce and review financial statements, supporting schedules, and related reports in alignment with U.S. GAAP standards.
  • Build and refine accounting policies, reconciliation procedures, and internal control practices to strengthen financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Monitor balance sheet activity, investigate variances, and resolve account discrepancies efficiently.
  • Partner with leadership to incorporate acquired businesses into the company’s accounting and financial reporting framework.
  • Create practical management reports and dashboards that improve visibility into performance, liquidity, and working capital.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to enhance cost oversight, reporting transparency, and process effectiveness.
  • Serve as a key contact for external auditors, tax professionals, banking partners, and other financial stakeholders.
  • Lead and develop accounting staff while contributing to budgeting, forecasting, automation efforts, and special financial projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • At least 7 years of progressive accounting experience with increasing leadership responsibility.
  • Prior experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, or in a comparable senior accounting role.
  • Strong command of U.S. GAAP and experience preparing accurate financial reports.
  • Demonstrated success managing month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Solid knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger activity, reconciliations, cash flow, and internal controls.
  • Background in manufacturing, distribution, industrial, or another operationally complex setting is preferred.
  • Experience with multi-entity accounting, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership.
