Controller

Robert Half is recruiting for an Interim Controller / Consultant for a logistics client in the Inland Empire. The Consultant will oversee daily accounting operations, lead the month end close process, and ensure accurate financial reporting while supporting a fast paced Distribution/ warehouse environment. This role will be located onsite in Mira Loma, CA.

Responsibilities

• Manage month end and year end close activities
• Oversee general ledger, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
• Supervise AP, AR, and cash management functions
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal controls
• Support inventory accounting and warehouse related transactions
• Partner with operations leadership on reporting and analysis
• Lead, mentor, and support accounting staff
• Drive process improvements and optimize use of Acumatica ERP

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Prior experience in logistics, distribution, warehousing, or fulfillment environments
• Knoweledge of mid-tier ERP experience (Accumatica, Netsuite)
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting
• Advanced Excel skills
• CPA preferred

This role is ideal for a hands on accounting leader who can quickly add value, improve processes, and maintain accurate financial reporting in a high volume operational environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility.
• Prior experience in logistics, distribution, warehousing, or fulfillment settings.
• Strong command of month-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger management.
• Working knowledge of mid-market ERP systems, including Acumatica or NetSuite.
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial statement preparation.
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze and organize financial data effectively.
• CPA designation is preferred.
