We are looking for an experienced Attorney to provide part-time litigation support for a busy legal team handling a significant construction defect matter in Denver, CO. This contract opportunity is fully remote and is well suited for an attorney who can contribute 5-15 hours per week while managing discovery, motion practice, and case documentation with precision. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in construction defect or civil litigation and can step in quickly to support ongoing case strategy and trial preparation.
The trial is set for March of 2027.
Responsibilities:
- Support active litigation matters by handling discovery tasks, reviewing case materials, and organizing records for efficient access and use.
- Prepare legal motions, briefs, and related filings that are clear, well-supported, and aligned with case objectives.
- Manage large volumes of documents to ensure accurate tracking, categorization, and production throughout the litigation process.
- Assist with trial preparation for a major construction defect case, including coordinating materials and helping maintain readiness for key deadlines.
- Conduct substantive review of evidence and legal documentation to identify relevant facts, issues, and follow-up needs.
- Collaborate with lead counsel on day-to-day litigation support as additional legal matters arise.
- Active license to practice law with current bar admission required.
- At least 3-5+ years of legal experience in construction defect litigation, civil litigation, or a closely related practice area (defense or plaintiff).
- Demonstrated ability to draft motions, briefs, and other litigation documents with minimal supervision.
- Strong working knowledge of discovery procedures, document review, and case file management.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote, part-time setting while meeting deadlines consistently.
- Excellent written communication, legal analysis, and organizational skills.
