Collections Specialist

We are looking for a motivated Collections Specialist to join a growing organization in Florida. This contract opportunity is ideal for someone who communicates clearly, works with urgency, and is eager to build experience in a customer-facing financial role. You will support account resolution efforts through outbound outreach, billing review, and dispute follow-up while receiving training to succeed in the position.

Responsibilities:

• Place a high volume of outbound calls each day to connect with customers regarding past-due balances and payment activity.
• Review account details carefully to confirm charges are accurate and identify any billing concerns that may affect collection efforts.
• Investigate customer disputes by gathering relevant information, clarifying issues, and helping move accounts toward resolution.
• Maintain clear and respectful communication with clients while encouraging timely payment and positive account outcomes.
• Document conversations, payment updates, and account actions thoroughly to keep records current and accurate.
• Work closely with internal teams to resolve billing questions and support efficient follow-up on outstanding accounts.
• Prioritize tasks with a strong sense of urgency to manage assigned accounts and meet daily activity expectations.
• Learn collection practices, account procedures, and customer service standards through provided training and coaching.
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to speak confidently and professionally with customers.
• Ability to handle a fast-paced workload and complete consistent outbound calling activity each day.
• Comfortable reviewing account information, identifying discrepancies, and supporting dispute resolution.
• Detail-oriented approach with the ability to maintain accurate notes and follow established processes.
• Dependable work ethic and a willingness to learn in a structured, team-oriented environment.
• Previous collections experience is helpful but not required; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Availability to work onsite in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
