A rapidly growing consumer-facing organization is seeking an experienced marketing executive to provide strategic leadership during a pivotal phase of business growth and expansion. This contract engagement offers the opportunity to influence company-wide marketing direction, elevate brand performance, and drive customer growth initiatives while partnering closely with executive leadership. We are looking for someone to bring a blend of strategic vision and operational excellence, with a strong background in customer acquisition, retention, brand development, and revenue-focused marketing. Experience supporting multi-unit, retail, franchise, hospitality, healthcare, consumer services, or other location-based businesses is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide executive oversight for the company's marketing function, ensuring alignment between business objectives, growth initiatives, and marketing investments.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing marketing team, including both people leadership and day-to-day operational management.
  • Design and execute customer-centric marketing programs that strengthen brand awareness, increase market share, and improve customer engagement.
  • Use performance analytics, consumer insights, and market intelligence to inform strategy and optimize marketing effectiveness.
  • Support aggressive growth initiatives by developing and implementing marketing plans tied to new market and location expansion.
  • Partner with senior leaders across operations, sales, finance, and product teams to drive strategic planning, market positioning, and commercial success.
  • Direct demand generation and customer growth initiatives while ensuring marketing continuity and executional excellence throughout the engagement.
  • Oversee integrated campaigns across digital, traditional, local, and brand marketing channels to maximize customer acquisition and business performance.
  • Evaluate marketing processes, resources, and team structure, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and overall impact.
  • Establish measurable KPIs and reporting frameworks to track performance and demonstrate marketing's contribution to business growth.

Ideal Background:

  • 10+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience, including responsibility for enterprise-level strategy and team leadership.
  • Proven success leading marketing organizations within consumer-facing businesses, particularly those operating across multiple locations or markets.
  • Strong foundation in growth marketing, brand strategy, customer lifecycle management, and demand generation.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive measurable business outcomes through data-driven decision-making and performance optimization.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing executive stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and change-management skills with a track record of building alignment across diverse teams.

What You'll Do:

  • Serve as the senior marketing leader, providing strategic direction across brand, growth, customer engagement, and market expansion initiatives.
  • Lead and develop the marketing organization, fostering collaboration, accountability, and high performance across the team.
  • Create and execute comprehensive marketing plans that increase customer acquisition, strengthen loyalty, and improve long-term customer value.
  • Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and campaign performance to identify opportunities and optimize results.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies that support expansion into new markets and the launch of additional locations.
  • Partner closely with executive leadership and key business functions to align marketing efforts with organizational priorities and revenue objectives.
  • Drive integrated growth marketing initiatives across digital, local, brand, and customer experience channels.
  • Assess and enhance marketing operations, processes, and resource allocation to improve scalability and efficiency.
  • Establish performance metrics and reporting mechanisms to measure marketing effectiveness and business contribution.
  • Ensure the organization maintains a strong and consistent presence across all customer-facing marketing activities
