Buyer/Planner

A global leader in industrial IoT is seeking a Buyer/Planner to join their team. This person will be responsible for helping ensure material availability, supplier performance, and customer delivery commitments while partnering across multiple functions to support business operations.

Duties include:

• Customer Delivery & Order Management Maintain accurate customer order promise dates.

Achieve 95% on-time delivery to the first promised ship date. Support customer delivery commitments through effective planning and coordination.

• Procurement & Supplier Management Create and release purchase orders based on material requirements. Proactively follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries. Monitor supplier performance and help address delivery risks.
• Supply Planning & Inventory Support Develop and manage detailed demand and supply plans.

Support material availability and supply continuity. Help maintain inventory levels necessary to meet customer and business requirements.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Operations, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Order Management teams to improve customer delivery performance and overall customer experience.
• Detail-oriented experience in buying, planning, procurement, or a related supply chain function.
• Working knowledge of supply chain management principles, including purchasing, material planning, and inventory support.
• Experience managing purchase orders, supplier communication, and order follow-up activities.
• Familiarity with customer order management and delivery scheduling in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Proficiency with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne or similar ERP systems used for procurement and planning.
• Strong coordination and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
• Detail-oriented approach to maintaining accurate data, tracking commitments, and resolving supply or delivery issues.
