Buyer

We are looking for a Buyer to join a manufacturing organization in Greer, South Carolina on a Contract to permanent basis. This role focuses on sourcing materials and services, maintaining strong supplier relationships, and securing favorable commercial terms that support production needs. The ideal candidate brings experience in a manufacturing environment and is comfortable working across procurement activities in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities: • Source materials, components, and services needed to support ongoing manufacturing operations and production schedules. • Build and maintain productive relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, delivery performance, and cost expectations are consistently met. • Lead pricing discussions and commercial negotiations to obtain competitive contracts and favorable purchasing terms. • Manage purchase order activity and follow through on order status, issue resolution, and supplier communication. • Evaluate vendor performance and recommend sourcing improvements that reduce risk and support operational efficiency. • Collaborate with internal teams such as production, planning, and quality to align purchasing priorities with business needs. • Review procurement data and market conditions to support informed buying decisions and cost-control initiatives.

• At least 3 years of experience in buying, purchasing, or procurement roles. • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is required. • Experience in SAP is preferred. • Demonstrated ability to manage suppliers and negotiate contracts effectively. • Strong understanding of procurement processes, purchasing controls, and vendor management practices. • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
