We are looking for an experienced Attorney/Lawyer to join a Contract position supporting commercial legal matters in Wilmington, Delaware. This role advises internal stakeholders on promotional review, commercialization initiatives, and a range of business agreements within the pharmaceutical or healthcare environment. The ideal candidate brings strong legal judgment, a practical approach to risk assessment, and the ability to partner closely with cross-functional teams to support compliant business decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Advise internal teams on legal considerations tied to product commercialization, drawing on a strong understanding of the company’s business operations, marketplace, and strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with business leaders to build trusted partnerships and encourage early engagement with legal counsel on key initiatives.
  • Evaluate promotional, educational, and brand-related materials through the medical, legal, and regulatory review process to support compliant external communications.
  • Provide legal guidance on non-promotional communications and broader brand planning activities across commercial functions.
  • Prepare, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements, including master service agreements, consulting arrangements, and confidentiality contracts.
  • Identify operational and regulatory risks in day-to-day business activities, communicate those risks clearly, and help business partners understand relevant legal obligations.
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to apply legal and regulatory requirements in a practical way that supports business goals and offers sound alternative approaches.
  • Represent the legal function on commercial and cross-department projects, contributing to team initiatives and broader organizational priorities.
  • Monitor enforcement developments, litigation trends, and evolving industry expectations to recommend legal best practices and strengthen internal processes.
  • Contribute to departmental effectiveness by supporting improvements in legal workflows, collaboration, and overall operational efficiency.
  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, with the ability to obtain additional bar admission if needed.
  • 5+ years of legal experience, including work as in-house counsel or within a life sciences legal practice, with at least 2 years of in-house experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare settings.
  • Minimum of 2 years of promotional review experience supporting pharmaceutical or healthcare products.
  • Strong knowledge of laws, regulations, and guidance related to pharmaceutical commercialization, marketing, privacy, and healthcare compliance.
  • Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements with solid understanding of contract risk and liability considerations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver practical, business-focused legal advice in a concise manner.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while working effectively both independently and with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience supporting pharmaceutical advertising, promotion, and labeling matters is preferred; skills in litigation, motions, briefing, or discovery are a plus.
