Litigation Attorney – Insurance Defense

Location: Tampa Bay Area, Florida (Onsite, Hybrid, or Remote Considered)

A growing and highly regarded litigation firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join its insurance defense practice. This opportunity is ideal for attorneys who genuinely enjoy litigation, are passionate about developing their trial skills, and thrive in an environment that emphasizes quality advocacy over high-volume caseloads.

The Role:

• Manage civil defense litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Handle general liability, premises liability, construction defect, and third-party liability cases
• Develop litigation strategy and proactively manage assigned files
• Conduct depositions, mediations, hearings, and other litigation-related activities
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda
• Maintain ownership of cases and provide high-quality client service throughout the litigation process

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday, standard business hours
• In-office preferred for local candidates
• Hybrid flexibility may be available after establishing tenure and trust within the firm
• Fully remote opportunities available for exceptional candidates with highly relevant experience and a proven track record

Compensation:

• 130k-200k DOE
• Generous performance-based bonus structure
• Significant earning potential for high-performing attorneys

Ideal Background:

• Florida barred attorney in good standing
• Approximately 3+ years of litigation experience preferred
• Civil defense litigation experience required
• Strong analytical, writing, and advocacy skills
• Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently
• Genuine interest in litigation and professional growth as a trial attorney

• Active attorney license and good standing with the applicable state bar.
• At least 3 years of litigation experience, with a strong preference for civil defense work.
• Demonstrated background handling insurance defense matters in a litigation setting.
• Proven ability to draft motions, briefs, discovery materials, and other litigation documents effectively.
• Strong written advocacy, oral communication, and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, stay organized, and move cases forward proactively.
