Original job description

Robert Half is looking for an experienced Attorney to join a corporate legal team and serve as a trusted advisor to business leadership. This Attorney position offers the opportunity to work across a broad range of commercial and regulatory matters while helping the organization make informed, practical decisions. The role is best suited for a legal team member who can balance risk management with business needs in a fast-paced environment and work onsite three days each week.

Responsibilities:

  • Counsel business leaders on legal exposure, compliance considerations, and organizational obligations tied to day-to-day operations and strategic decisions.
  • Oversee relationships with external law firms and coordinate specialized legal support when matters require additional subject-matter expertise.
  • Research statutes, regulations, and case law to deliver clear guidance and timely recommendations on corporate legal issues.
  • Prepare, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements, including commercial documents and contracts involving federal requirements.
  • Assist with disputes, claims, and matters that may lead to litigation, working to protect the organization's interests and position.
  • Drive legal initiatives from intake through resolution, maintaining efficiency, cost awareness, and strong communication with internal stakeholders.
  • Provide legal input on issues involving employment, environmental, and broader corporate governance considerations as needed.

The ideal Attorney candidate should have a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Active attorney license in good standing within the applicable jurisdiction required.

Other requirements for the Attorney position include and are not limited to:

  • 3+ years of experience practicing in a corporate legal department or law firm environment.
  • Demonstrated background in corporate law, contract drafting, review, and negotiation.
  • Ability to manage multiple legal matters independently while partnering effectively with leadership and outside counsel.
  • Experience supporting employment law, environmental law, or complex business dispute matters is valued.
  • Prior exposure to manufacturing or construction-related legal work is strongly preferred.
