Attorney

We are looking for an Attorney to support legal matters in Atlanta, Georgia. This is a Contract position suited for someone with experience handling disputes, advising on tax-related issues, and managing matters involving property tax law. The role requires strong judgment, effective written and verbal communication, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a range of legal matters with an emphasis on civil litigation and property tax disputes.
• Prepare, review, and revise pleadings, motions, legal correspondence, and other case-related documents.
• Provide legal analysis and guidance on tax law issues, including matters tied to property tax assessments and appeals.
• Represent the organization in hearings, negotiations, and other proceedings as needed.
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategies based on applicable statutes, regulations, and precedent.
• Collaborate with business partners, outside counsel, and relevant parties to support timely resolution of legal issues.
• Maintain accurate case files, monitor deadlines, and ensure matters progress in an organized and compliant manner.
• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice and in good standing with the Georgia Bar.
• Demonstrated experience in civil litigation.
• Working knowledge of property tax matters and broader tax law principles.
• Strong legal research, writing, and document drafting skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse stakeholders.
