  • Prepare and review bank and balance sheet reconciliations, investigating discrepancies and resolving outstanding items promptly.
  • Produce financial reports and supporting analyses to highlight trends, explain fluctuations, and support management decision-making.
  • Perform variance analysis across accounts and reporting periods to identify unusual movements and confirm the integrity of financial data.
  • Maintain general ledger accuracy by reviewing account activity, validating classifications, and supporting adjustments where needed.
  • Assist with insurance-related accounting and other real estate industry matters, including reconciliation work tied to organizational entities and property activity.
  • Strengthen accounting operations by creating clear process documentation and participating in reviews of internal controls.
  • Use advanced Excel functions to organize data, reconcile accounts, and prepare reporting schedules.
  • Support accounting workflows within Yardi or similar property accounting platforms, including reconciliation and reporting tasks as needed.
  • Prior experience in an Assistant Controller or senior-level accounting role, preferably within real estate or property management environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of month-end close procedures, general ledger activity, and financial statement support.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and variance analysis with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Experience preparing financial reporting packages and explaining account fluctuations through clear analysis.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including practical use of formulas.
  • Familiarity with process documentation and internal control review within an accounting function.
  • Yardi experience is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage deadlines in a Contract role.
