AP Speciaist

We are hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist for a contract opportunity in San Leandro, CA. This position is best suited for an accounting professional who is highly organized, detail focused, and experienced in full-cycle accounts payable processing. The ideal candidate will have recent experience working in NetSuite and be comfortable managing vendor payments, invoice review, and account reconciliations in a fast-paced environment. This is a contract role supporting daily accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle day-to-day accounts payable activities, including high-volume invoice entry and processing
• Review invoices for accuracy, approvals, general ledger coding, and supporting documentation
• Process vendor payments through checks, ACH, and wire transactions
• Reconcile vendor accounts and statements and research any discrepancies
• Maintain complete and accurate AP records within NetSuite
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding invoice and payment questions
• Assist with month-end accounts payable close and related reporting
• Monitor outstanding invoices and help ensure timely payment processing
• Support audit requests and provide documentation as needed
• Partner with the accounting team to maintain efficient and compliant AP procedures
• 2+ years of recent accounts payable experience
• NetSuite experience is required
• Strong knowledge of full-cycle AP, invoice matching, coding, and reconciliations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other business applications
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven setting
