AP Accountant – Growth Opportunity Location: Houston, TX Schedule: Hybrid A growing company in Houston is seeking an AP Accountant to join its accounting team. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong full-cycle AP experience who wants to expand their accounting skills and potentially advance into a Staff Accountant role.
Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice processing, coding, approvals, and vendor payments.
- Process purchase orders and vendor invoices in NetSuite.
- Reconcile AP accounts and resolve vendor discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end close, accruals, and general ledger activities.
- Support internal controls, audit requests, and process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 2–4 years of full-cycle accounts payable experience
- 1–3 years of hands-on NetSuite experience
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Public company accounting experience.
- SOX compliance and internal controls experience.
