We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a real estate property and facilities management organization. This contract-to-permanent opportunity is ideal for someone who brings strong financial accuracy, sound judgment, and a customer-focused approach to tenant account administration. The person in this role will support security deposit account activity, maintain organized records, and collaborate with banking partners and internal stakeholders to resolve account-related matters efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full lifecycle of tenant security deposit accounts, including account setup, ongoing maintenance, and account closure with financial institutions.
  • Review banking records and supporting documentation to identify funding variances, then calculate and complete adjustments to correct overfunded or underfunded balances.
  • Respond to bank communications by researching questions, resolving discrepancies, and keeping account files current and well documented.
  • Maintain monthly statements for tenant security accounts and ensure records are accurate, complete, and readily accessible for review.
  • Process transfers related to tenant security funds with careful attention to timing, documentation, and compliance requirements.
  • Enter and post deposit activity, prepare withdrawals, and issue checks with a high degree of precision across tenant accounts.
  • Reconcile ledgers and cash activity to confirm account balances align with supporting financial records and banking data.
  • Assist tenants and business partners with inquiries related to tenant security accounts, providing timely and attentive service.
  • Experience in accounts receivable, cash applications, billing, collections, or related financial operations.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to enter and review numerical and tenant information accurately.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and familiarity with banking or accounting systems used to manage financial transactions.
  • Solid math skills and the ability to reconcile ledgers, account balances, and supporting documentation.
  • Ability to investigate discrepancies, analyze account activity, and take appropriate corrective action.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for handling correspondence with banks, tenants, and internal teams.
  • Customer service skills with the ability to respond professionally to account-related questions and requests.
