  • Track promotional programs, rebates, pricing agreements, and approved customer allowances while validating deductions against supporting documentation.
  • Investigate disputed charges and submit claims related to freight, payment terms, short pays, and other receivable variances to recover funds efficiently.
  • Partner with internal teams, customers, and external contacts to address account questions, remove barriers to payment, and keep transactions moving smoothly.
  • Set up new customer records in company accounting and tax-related systems, ensuring documentation is complete and account information is entered correctly.
  • Process card payments through the authorized online platform and record transactions accurately within financial records.
  • Review customer account standing and credit thresholds before order release to confirm alignment with established terms.
  • Enter customer return activity and issue credits accurately, ensuring all adjustments are completed within required timelines.
  • Prepare daily deposits, apply incoming payments to the correct accounts, and perform routine bank reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Provide additional clerical and departmental support as needed to maintain efficient accounts receivable operations.
  • At least 3 years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, or a related accounting support role.
  • Hands-on experience with cash application, daily receipts processing, and reconciliation of customer payments.
  • Working knowledge of commercial collections practices and customer account maintenance.
  • Experience handling credit card payments and ensuring accurate accounting for card transactions.
  • Ability to reconcile bank activity, research discrepancies, and maintain precise financial records.
  • Strong organizational skills with careful attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume transactional work.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with customers, colleagues, and business partners.
  • Familiarity with sales tax permits and resale certificate documentation is preferred.
