Accounts Payable Clerk

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to support day-to-day financial operations for a team based in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. This Long-term Contract position is well suited for someone who is organized, detail-focused, and confident handling high-volume invoice activity in an onsite environment. The person in this role will help maintain accurate payment processing while ensuring documentation is coded correctly and routed efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Review incoming invoices, verify details for accuracy, and assign the appropriate coding before entry.
• Process accounts payable transactions in a timely manner to support smooth daily financial operations.
• Prepare and assist with scheduled check runs, ensuring payments are completed according to deadlines.
• Maintain organized records of invoices and payment documentation for tracking and audit support.
• Communicate with internal contacts to resolve discrepancies, missing information, or approval issues related to invoices.
• Support onsite accounts payable workflows by helping manage invoice volume and prioritizing urgent payment items.
• Hands-on experience working in accounts payable or a closely related accounting support role.
• Practical knowledge of invoice coding and the ability to apply correct account classifications.
• Experience processing invoices accurately in a fast-paced administrative or finance setting.
• Familiarity with preparing or supporting check runs and related payment activities.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and follow established procedures.
• Ability to work onsite in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania for the duration of the assignment.
