Accounting Specialist

We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join a growing oil and gas services organization in Conroe, Texas on a Contract basis. This role is ideal for someone with accounting experience who brings recent NetSuite experience and is comfortable handling both payables and receivables in a deadline-driven setting. The position offers the opportunity to support a busy finance team with accurate transaction processing, invoicing, and day-to-day accounting coordination.

Responsibilities:

• Record and process accounts payable and accounts receivable activity in NetSuite with a high level of accuracy.
• Review financial information from QuickBooks and enter data correctly into NetSuite to maintain reliable accounting records.
• Handle payable workflows for a large vendor base, ensuring invoices are entered and tracked in a timely manner.
• Administer receivable transactions involving a smaller number of invoices with significant dollar values.
• Support customer billing activity across multimillion-dollar invoicing volume while maintaining completeness and precision.
• Partner with the accounting team during ongoing system-related accounting work and help keep financial data organized and current.
• Communicate with internal team members to clarify transaction details and resolve accounting questions efficiently.
• Contribute to additional accounting and administrative tasks as needed to support daily operations.
• Recent hands-on experience using NetSuite is required.
• Proven background in both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Strong accuracy in data entry and financial record management.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet established deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for effective coordination with internal stakeholders.
• Experience with billing, account reconciliation, and general accounting support.
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks is preferred.
• Prior experience in oil and gas, energy, industrial, or service-based environments is a plus.
