Accounting Specialist

Our client is seeking an Accounting Specialist to support day-to-day accounting operations across accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys working in a hands-on environment and managing a variety of accounting responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for month-end and year-end close. Research account activity and prepare financial reports as needed. Process customer invoices, cash receipts, credit card payments, prepayments, and credit memos. Manage accounts receivable activities and maintain related procedures. Review and process PO and non-PO invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments. Process check, ACH, and wire payments and maintain vendor records, W-9s, and ACH documentation. Prepare weekly accounts payable reports and assist with annual 1099 processing. Maintain vendor information within the ERP system. Process biweekly payroll and maintain employee and timesheet records. Prepare and file Sales & Use Tax returns and payments. Reconcile petty cash and support other administrative and accounting projects as needed.

Qualifications

3+ years of accounting experience in a multi-functional accounting role. Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities. Knowledge of account reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting. Experience processing ACH, wire, and check payments. Familiarity with 1099 reporting and Sales & Use Tax filings. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems. Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications Experience with Rootstock or similar ERP systems. Manufacturing or distribution industry experience preferred. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Provide your feedback on BizChat
