Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full accounts receivable cycle, including invoicing, payment application, and follow-up on outstanding balances.
- Monitor aging reports and take timely action to resolve overdue accounts while maintaining clear communication with customers.
- Record financial activity through accurate journal entries and maintain supporting documentation for accounting transactions.
- Reconcile bank activity and customer accounts to ensure records remain complete, current, and accurate.
- Assist with accounts payable duties as needed, including reviewing invoices and preparing payments for processing.
- Support general ledger maintenance by verifying transactions and helping close discrepancies across accounting records.
- Process cash receipts and other incoming payments while ensuring proper posting to the appropriate accounts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to investigate billing issues, resolve payment questions, and improve account accuracy.
- At least 5 years of accounting experience, with significant exposure to accounts receivable functions.
- Prior experience working in the construction industry is strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of accounts payable processes and how they connect to broader accounting operations.
- Experience with general ledger activity, journal entries, and account reconciliation.
