This position is a 3rd shift role working Monday through Thursday from 5:00 PM to 4:00 AM. It is well suited for someone who works carefully, stays organized, and is comfortable managing detailed, repeatable tasks throughout the night. You will help maintain on-time freight movement by monitoring load activity, updating shipment records, and communicating timely status information to drivers, carriers, customers, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor freight activity from dispatch through final delivery to help ensure shipments remain on schedule.
  • Conduct routine follow-up calls with drivers and carriers at key transit milestones to confirm shipment status and progress during overnight operations.
  • Record shipment updates accurately in tracking platforms and keep information current across required systems.
  • Identify delayed or at-risk loads early and route issues to the appropriate internal teams for prompt action.
  • Share clear shipment status updates with customers, carriers, and internal stakeholders as needed.
  • Respond to inbound questions regarding load location, delivery timing, and related transportation details.
  • Communicate load instructions and essential shipment information to drivers and carrier partners.
  • Work through assigned shipment queues methodically until delivery has been verified and documented.
  • Maintain strong data accuracy and consistency while handling a high volume of tracking activity.
  • Remain attentive and responsive throughout overnight hours to support continuous freight visibility and issue resolution.
  • At least 1 year of experience in customer service, call center support, or a related transportation support role.
  • Ability to manage inbound and outbound calls professionally while providing accurate shipment information.
  • Experience entering orders, shipment details, or service updates into tracking or customer service systems.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow structured processes and maintain accurate records.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for working with customers, drivers, carriers, and internal teams.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment where priorities are driven by shipment activity and delivery timelines.
  • Ability to stay focused on repetitive, process-driven tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
