The Vineyards of Monticello is seeking a dependable, professional, and experienced Courtesy Officer to help maintain a peaceful, safe, and welcoming environment for our apartment community in Monticello, Arkansas.

This position is ideal for an active law enforcement officer interested in living onsite while providing an additional security presence for our residents and community.

An onsite apartment is provided as part of the position.

Position Overview

The Courtesy Officer serves as a visible presence throughout the apartment community, monitors the property for suspicious or unusual activity, and assists management with maintaining a peaceful and orderly living environment.

The Courtesy Officer must reside onsite and complete required nightly patrols, incident reporting, and weekly activity logs.

Key Responsibilities

• Patrol the apartment community, parking areas, grounds, and common areas twice nightly between 8:00 PM and 5:00 AM, seven nights per week.

• Maintain a visible and professional presence throughout the community.

• Observe and report suspicious activity, disturbances, safety concerns, or unusual behavior.

• Respond appropriately to resident concerns involving noise complaints, disturbances, or potential community policy violations.

• Contact the appropriate law enforcement agency or emergency services when necessary.

• Document incidents and unusual activity accurately and promptly.

• Complete and submit required weekly activity logs to property management.

• Communicate significant incidents, safety concerns, and community issues to the Community Manager.

• Assist management with enforcing community rules and maintaining a peaceful living environment.

• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when interacting with residents, guests, employees, and vendors.

• Perform additional courtesy officer duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Must currently be an active, licensed law enforcement officer.

• Must have successfully completed an accredited law enforcement/police academy.

• Must be employed as a law enforcement officer within the City of Monticello.

• Must be willing to live onsite at The Vineyards of Monticello.

• Must remain in good standing with their employing law enforcement agency.

• Strong observation, communication, and incident-reporting skills.

• Ability to interact professionally and courteously with residents and guests.

• Dependable and able to complete nightly patrols and required weekly reporting.

• Ability to exercise sound judgment when responding to disturbances or safety concerns.

Onsite Apartment Provided

An onsite apartment is provided as part of the Courtesy Officer position. The selected candidate is required to reside at The Vineyards of Monticello to provide an onsite presence and fulfill the position's patrol and reporting responsibilities.
