Role Mission: The Creative Operations Manager serves as the central point of entry for the brand team and oversees all work that moves through it. This role establishes a consistent intake standard for every request and drives work to approval in fewer revision rounds, increasing the brand team's output. Success is measured by throughput, turnaround, and the quality of work reaching leadership – and by the clarity and accuracy of the copy this role writes and owns.

Measured Performance Goals:

Company Performance Goals (shared across the Rhodes team):

  • % Projects Completed on Time
  • # Gross Home Sales

Role Performance Goals (within this role's control):

  • % On-time delivery rate against published service tiers
  • Average revision rounds per deliverable – tracked as the primary indicator of brief and quality control effectiveness
  • % of requests entering through the standard intake form with a complete brief
  • # of items reaching executive review with a standards, attribution, or product-accuracy error (target: zero)
  • % of copy deliverables approved within one revision round
  • % of assets current and easy to find in the digital asset management (DAM) system; zero outdated assets in active circulation
  • % Improvement in average cycle time from request to release, year over year

Accountabilities:

Intake & Prioritization:

  • Owns the creative request intake process – the request form, required brief fields, and the standard for returning incomplete requests before work begins
  • Publishes and maintains service tiers by request type, including the exception path and named approver for rush work
  • Triages and prioritizes incoming work from Sales, Operations, Land, Marketing Operations, and leadership against capacity
  • Escalates capacity and priority conflicts to the Senior Brand Manager promptly and transparently

Traffic & Calendar:

  • Owns the master creative calendar and assigns, schedules, and tracks all work across the team
  • Maintains the launch dependency map in partnership with Marketing Operations so creative deliverables are scheduled backward from go-live dates
  • Tracks at-risk deliverables and escalates risks before deadlines are affected
  • Administers the creative work management system and maintains it as the single source of truth for brand work in progress
  • Builds and manages the freelance bench for overflow capacity, including onboarding, specs, and quality standards

Quality Control:

  • Quality-controls all work against brief and brand standard before it enters internal or executive review
  • Maintains and enforces the quality control (QC) checklist, including brand attribution, tagline usage, required disclaimers, and entity naming
  • Routes assets for product-accuracy confirmation by Sales or Operations before release, so imagery and plan information reflect what is actually being built
  • Reviews agency and freelance deliverables to the same standard as in-house work

Digital Asset Management & Templates:

  • Owns the digital asset management system – taxonomy, metadata, rights and usage tracking, versioning, and retirement of outdated assets
  • Ensures team, sales, and partner access to current approved assets
  • Owns template governance across the launch template set and drives expansion of self-serve templates to reduce custom request volume
  • Administers the self-serve platform – user access and permissions, template publishing and updates, usage monitoring, and requester training – so teams can produce on-brand materials without a custom request

Copywriting & Messaging:

  • Writes and edits copy for brand, community, and sales materials – including brochures, signage, digital ads, email, web, and social – in the Rhodes and Esperanza Homes brand voice
  • Applies the brand voice and messaging guide, including approved community descriptions, product naming, boilerplate language, and standard disclaimers
  • Proofreads copy for grammar, consistency, and brand standard before it enters internal or executive review
  • Confirms pricing, incentives, features, and plan details with Sales or Operations before copy is released
  • Builds approved messaging blocks for self-serve templates and briefs agency and freelance writers to the same standard

Reporting & Team Coordination:

  • Reports throughput, cycle time, revision rounds, and volume by requester on a monthly cadence
  • Supplies the operational data behind agency and freelance performance reviews
  • Coordinates day-to-day workload and scheduling with the Production Designer and the Brand Multi-Media Producer

Lives Rhodes Core Values:

  • Act with Integrity, No Exceptions – believes there is no such thing as compromise when it comes to acting with integrity in everything you do.
  • Honor our Team – honors team members as individuals and professionals, no exceptions.
  • Never Be Satisfied – continuously looks for ways to improve every aspect of our business.

Embodies Characteristics of the Rhodes Team:

  • Believes and is committed to our purpose to enhance the lives of our customers and our team through building communities
  • Is driven by outcomes and results, and wants to be held accountable for them
  • Has a propensity for action, willing to make mistakes by doing in order to learn and improve quickly
  • Thrives in an entrepreneurial, high-growth environment; is comfortable with ambiguity and change
  • Seeks and responds well to feedback, which is shared often and freely across all levels of the organization
  • Works through silos and forges strong cross-departmental relationships in order to achieve outcomes
