Position Description

As a Field IT Support Technician, you will perform onsite installation and maintenance support on a variety of computer equipment, printers, and specialized Key Control equipment. Each technician is provided with a company vehicle that will be used to travel to our customer sites. Other duties include maintaining an inventory of repair parts and documenting your work through our service tracking system.<\/p>\nSome of the hardware you will be working with is as follows:\nApplication Servers\nPC\u2019s\nCabling\nSwitches\nPrinters\nRouters\nFiber Converters\nScanners<\/p>\n

Training

You will have an assigned territory and will attend a paid training program in College Station, Texas. The training is primarily a hands-on familiarization course of the equipment at customer sites and will also teach our policies and procedures.<\/p>\n

Requirements

Technical associates degree or equivalent work experience; 1+ years of technical experience (hardware\/networking); Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds on a consistent basis; Must be able to attend a paid training class in Texas; Must have a valid driver\u2019s license, with fewer than 2 moving violations in the last three years and no OVI\/DUI\/DWI violations in the last five years; Good communication skills; Customer service experience; A+ and\/or Network+ certified is a plus; Ability to travel, with hotel stays, up to 25% of the time<\/p>\n
