Network Engineer

Network Engineer Duration: Initial 3-month contract, with potential to extend up to 12 months Location: Fully remote Schedule: Open to full-time or part-time availability We’re seeking a Network Engineer to support network infrastructure improvements, strengthen connectivity and redundancy, and provide ongoing troubleshooting support. This role combines hands-on network administration with architecture planning and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Support ISP consolidation and establish primary and failover network connections.
• Configure and maintain site-to-site fiber connectivity.
• Discover and document existing network infrastructure.
• Review and redesign network architecture, including VLAN consolidation and internal/external routing.
• Manage Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco Meraki access points, and switches.
• Configure and troubleshoot SSL point-to-point tunnels.
• Review Quality of Service (QoS) configurations and recommend improvements.
• Provide network-related break/fix and helpdesk support.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience managing Palo Alto firewalls.

Strong knowledge of VLANs and internal/external network routing.

• Experience configuring and supporting Cisco Meraki access points and switches.
• Experience with SSL point-to-point tunneling.
• Ability to troubleshoot network issues, document infrastructure, and work independently in a remote environment.
