Job Responsibilities
- Participate in new application development and existing system enhancements by coding system features according to system designs and business requirements.
- Develop and integrate AI and machine learning capabilities to support business processes, analytics, and automation.
- Maintain existing application programs by fixing bugs, troubleshooting issues, and resolving operational deficiencies.
- Assure program, module, and system integrity through thorough testing, code reviews, and adherence to company standards and procedures.
- Work within an Agile team through research, design, analysis, requirements, implementation, test automation, and maintenance.
- Utilize new technologies and tools to enhance products and integrate with applications developed internally and externally.
- Support the development and maintenance of data pipelines and transformations needed for application and AI functionality.
Day-to-Day Activities
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and backlog refinement.
- Develop, test, and maintain Python and SQL code within Databricks.
- Maintain sprint work, check in code, participate in code reviews, and update Jira and Confluence.
- Troubleshoot application/code issues and support enhancements to existing systems.
- Collaborate with team members to evaluate AI approaches and integrate models or AI services into applications.
- Support data preparation and processing as needed for development and testing.
Qualifications
Job Requirements
- 5 years of experience in software development or related technical role.
- Hands-on experience developing and implementing solutions on the Databricks platform.
- Familiarity with Databricks jobs, Unity Catalog, and data access controls
- Proficiency in Python and SQL, with familiarity using PySpark for data processing.
- Experience developing or integrating AI or machine learning capabilities, such as predictive models, large language models, or AI services.
- Understanding of AWS implementation, Agile ceremonies, and CI/CD automation pipelines.
- Experience with application integration, APIs, testing, and troubleshooting.
Education/Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Masters’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial intelligence, or a related field is preferred.
- AWS, Databricks, or AI/ML certifications are nice to have.

The annual salary range for this position is $91,015.65 to $133,489.62. Actual compensation will depend on a range of factors, including but not limited to the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, certifications, location, other business and organizational needs, and applicable employment laws. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
