Sales Manager – Value City Furniture
Lead the Floor. Drive Sales. Develop Your Team.
About the Role
Are you a successful sales professional ready to take your leadership career to the next level? We are seeking a Sales Manager who can lead from the showroom floor while continuing to drive personal sales performance. This is a commission-based position with a forgivable draw based on the applicable minimum wage.
As a Sales Manager, you will be a hands-on sales leader responsible for coaching and developing the sales team, helping close opportunities, driving accountability, and partnering with the Store Manager to achieve store goals.
We believe in promoting from within and developing leaders for long-term careers, with opportunities to take on greater leadership responsibilities based on performance, leadership ability, and business needs.
Compensation
• Approximately $60,000 average first-year earnings
• Unlimited commission potential on personal sales
• Monthly bonus opportunities on personal sales
• Forgivable draw based on the applicable minimum wage for hours worked. If your earned commissions are below the draw, the shortfall is forgiven - you do not repay it or carry it forward against future commissions.
• Top performers can earn $100,000+ annually
• Highest earner at Regency Management Services has earned over $150,000
• Monthly store performance bonus
• Additional $300 per week for Sales Manager responsibilities
Responsibilities
• Continue personal selling while leading and developing the sales team
• Coach, motivate, and hold sales associates accountable to performance expectations
• Assist with complex sales opportunities, closing strategies, and customer concerns
• Drive daily sales activity, follow-up, financing, promotions, and customer engagement
• Analyze sales performance and help the team improve results
• Recruit, interview, onboard, train, and develop sales talent in partnership with the Store Manager
• Conduct coaching and performance conversations and reinforce accountability
• Support staffing, showroom standards, merchandising, and daily store operations
• Help create a positive, energetic, competitive, and customer-focused culture
• Partner with the Store Manager on sales goals, expenses, and key store metrics
• Lead by example and participate in ongoing leadership development
Qualifications
• Previous retail sales or sales leadership experience required
• Proven track record of achieving sales goals
• Leadership, coaching, motivation, and team-building skills
• Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
• Results-oriented with a strong sense of accountability
• Ability to analyze performance and take action to improve results
• Strong organization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Furniture, mattress, home furnishings, or retail sales experience is a plus
• Bilingual skills are a plus
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak retail hours
Benefits
• Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance
• 401(k) Retirement Plan
• Paid Vacation, Holidays & PTO
• Employee Discounts on Furniture, Mattresses & Home Décor
