Key Duties
- Validate complex projects to ensure compliance with corporate quality standards, product specifications, and documentation requirements.
- Collaborate within and/or across teams, products, departments, etc. as necessary to ensure that the company’s products meet total quality management and design standards.
- Proactively assist/mentor others within and/or across teams, products, departments, etc. as necessary to share product knowledge, request testing assistance, resolve issues, and be in the know.
- Review/grow the product’s test suite to reach the goal of thorough test coverage to ensure full regression and functional testing before software upgrades and major releases.
- Coach the team on managing testing tools and appropriate test environments, as well as reporting results, and improving the overall testing process.
- Support investigations on improvement projects, help to identify root causes, and help to identify/implement corrective actions and monitor for effectiveness, particularly for complex projects/issues.
- Develop and run effective tests to ensure product functionality, stability, and performance.
- Develop detailed test plans that present test goals, test requirements, and an estimated schedule.
- Prepare/distribute detailed technical documentation to internal stakeholders.
- Accomplish timely validation of QA activities to meet schedules and quality requirements for releases.
- Actively participate in all scrum ceremonies.
Education/Training
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent applicable experience, plus at least 5 years of professional technical experience in software which includes 2 years of software testing.
- 2+ years’ experience with RedSail applications
- 2+ years’ agile process (scrum) experience
- 2+ years’ leadership/mentoring experience
- 2+ years’ applicable domain experience (pharmacy, accounting, government, etc.)
- Cloud computing knowledge/experience (bonus for Azure)
- Application architecture and hosting services experience/knowledge. (client/server, web server, self-hosted, ASP hosted, cloud)
- API test experience
- Automation testing experience
- Certification(s) applicable to the position
Required Work Experience/Skills
- Exceptional technical knowledge in software development methodologies (particularly agile), design, and implementation with specialized knowledge of RedSail applications or applicable technologies.
- Exceptional analytical and design skills at multiple product levels.
- Exceptional skills in research and analysis, planning, and implementation.
- Exceptional understanding of the entire development process including specifications, documentation, quality assurance, and release management.
- Exceptional understanding of business issues and how they impact overall plans.
- Exceptional time management, decision making, organization, presentation, and problem resolution skills.
- Exceptional communication, human relations, and interpersonal skills.

Physical Demands, Working Conditions, and General Employment Guidelines
- Moderate levels of stress may be experienced in the performance of the job.
- Position is performed in a general office environment, home office, or approved remote workspace where physical work includes, but is not limited to, sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting to 25 lbs.

- Daily use of the Microsoft Teams (phone), computer, printer, and other routine office equipment.
