Job Description:

Contribute to the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of front-end applications using technologies such as JavaScript, Angular, and Node.js. Partner with developers, technical leads, and stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable, and user-focused solutions. Make an impact across the full software development lifecycle. Engage in requirements analysis, design, development, testing, troubleshooting, deployment, and production support. Help identify and implement opportunities to enhance system functionality, performance, and the overall user experience.

The Level 1 Sustainment Software Engineer shall possess the following capabilities:

• Experience working with the AWS Platform.
• Experience working in an Agile Development Team.
• Experience working with Git for source code management.
• Experience with Node.js, AngularJS, Angular, VueJS or comparable JavaScript frameworks/libraries.
• Experience with GOTS products.
• Experience with EngineX.
• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
• Investigate and analyze system and user problems to identify potential solutions or fixes.
• Debug existing software and correct defects.
• Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
• Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.
• Develop, modify, and implement algorithms to address system performance or functional issues in operational systems.
• Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components.
• Write or review software and system documentation.
• Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, confer with users or system engineers; analyze systems flow, data usage and work processes; and investigate problem areas.
• Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance.
• Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.
• Design or implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queries.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and six (3) years of experience in software development/engineering. Ten (10) years of experience in software development/engineering may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

Position requires active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph
