Original job description
About the company Our client is a fast-growing software company. The role Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Someone with prior deal-side or advisory finance experience could join early and set up a company's finance operations from scratch, while also working on business operations projects alongside senior leadership. The role blends planning, modeling and reporting with broader operational initiatives. What you'll do
- Support sales meetings, investor communications, pricing work and presentation preparation.
- Build financial models, dashboards and management reporting covering revenue, cash burn and unit economics.
- Manage the yearly budget cycle, continuous projections and hiring-plan modeling.
- Lead ambiguous, high-priority operations projects such as market research, vendor selection and partnership reviews.
- Design processes and operating routines the company does not yet have as it grows.
Requirements
What we're looking for

- Expert-level Excel or Google Sheets modeling skills, including three-statement and unit economics models.
- Self-directed, able to find information and solve problems without playbooks or close management.
- Based in or willing to relocate to the San Francisco area, in the office at least three days a week.
- High urgency and a strong sense of ownership, comfortable with long hours and fast change. Bonus points
- Experience moving into a tech or startup company after finance or consulting work.
- Prior planning and analysis work for a fast-scaling business would be an advantage.
- Involvement in capital raising, investor-facing reporting or acquisition deal work.
