Senior Software Engineer

About the company Our client is a fast-growing software company. The role Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Build backend systems, data infrastructure and agent-driven automation as a hands-on senior engineer who also mentors a junior engineer and helps shape the engineering practices of a young team. The role covers end-to-end ownership of production services and connections to outside platforms. What you'll do

• Build data infrastructure that records every event across a customer's lifecycle so outcomes can be analyzed.
• Develop an agentic, self-improving system that assesses operations, proposes changes and carries them out automatically.
• Own full-stack engineering for the core product, with a strong emphasis on backend and infrastructure work.
• Build reliable integrations with commerce, advertising and marketing platforms, plus supporting orchestration tooling.
• Mentor a founding engineer while continuing to write and ship code daily.

Requirements

What we're looking for

• Experience building agentic or LLM-powered systems that connect to outside APIs.
• A track record of taking AI-driven software from design through live operation, with full accountability for it.
• Background at a fast-scaling startup that you joined before it grew into a large organization.
• Strong server-side skills across full stack work, especially with pipelines, event flows and connections to external services.
• Experience leading or mentoring at least one or two engineers, such as through a tech lead or founder role.
• Able to juggle a wide range of work and impose order when priorities are unclear.
• 3 or more years of professional engineering experience.

Bonus points

• Experience with commerce or marketing platform APIs, such as storefront, advertising or email service provider APIs.
• Prior role building a product from nothing as an early team member or first hire.
• A strong engineering pedigree from a leading university, which can offset a shorter record at fast-growing companies.
• Strong communication skills.

• Base salary: USD 175,000 to 225,000 per year
