Senior Forward Deployed Engineer

About the company Our client is a software company. The role Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Work face to face with client stakeholders to scope problems, then design and build prototypes and production tooling. Carry automated AI solutions from early proof of concept through to reliable deployment, while bringing business leaders along through metrics, interface design and change management. What you'll do

• Interview process owners and leaders to map how work is actually carried out.
• Scope workflows and turn them into specifications, prototypes and evaluations.
• Build and iterate on proof-of-concept AI tools together with clients.
• Define success metrics with executive leadership and co-design interfaces with process owners.
• Plan and run change management efforts that drive adoption.
• Move working AI solutions into dependable production.

Requirements

What we're looking for

• Experience working with senior executives or enterprise clients to scope work and ship production tools, prototypes, models or automations.
• Hands-on record of taking large language model based software into live use, including prompt crafting and quality testing.
• Polished executive communication skills, able to hold a room of senior leaders.
• Working proficiency in Python or SQL, plus the capacity to connect to external services, understand how data is structured and assemble quick prototypes.
• Previous roles in engineering, data analysis, product, program management, technical sales or advisory work.
• Track record in a quick-moving young company or a respected elite employer.
• Ability to work on-site in San Francisco 5 days a week and travel 20 to 40% to client sites across the US. Bonus points
• Earlier founding or client-embedded engineering work at a well-regarded AI firm.
• Degree from a top-ranked university.

• Base salary: USD 175,000 to 250,000 per year
